The Lobster House property has been a bar/restaurant since the 20’s, under other names. The restaurant and commercial fishing property has been in the hands of the same family since 1922. The Lobster House of today was created by the parents of the current owner in 1954.

We have limited tie up docking for customers. Alongside the Schooner and the Pier.

Social distancing and masks were enforced in the restaurant. It was a little more difficult in the market. It has a narrow walk way.

We're sorry to say, no. Due to the fact that it is freshly baked for us, we could not assure it would travel well and arrive as fresh as it should be. So glad you enjoy it though!

The Lobster House does not take reservations. The best times are 4:30 or 8:00. They have a great bar area. Parking is never a problem. In the summer, wait time varies from 30 minutes to up to 2 hours but so worth it. The freshest and most consistent. This time of the year, the wait is not bad.

They are pretty good, almost all items on menus are under 50 dollars...even the king crab leg dinner was like 45. The atmosphere is what your passing for as much as the food.

The menu is online on their website . Just search for cape may lobster house . The dinner menu lists pan blackened red fish. I have never had it , usually go for the stuffed flounder . Agree with the comments above. Great seafood, pitchers of beer, sitting on the dock is the best if you don't mind the summer heat. There is some shade.

Wait time varies during seasons. Off season usually no wait. During peak season like July and August wait time may be upto to 2.5 hours. If you want to eat at 430pm during peak season please be there 45 minutes early prior to 430pm opening.

If you have a complaint, you should reach out to the manager and they will usually try to make it right. The bar tenders from my experience usually tries to talk with most clients and be friendly.

I would take a deep sea fishing trip, catch and filet the flounder yourself. Then take it home on ice , prepare your cooking surfaces and heat your oven to around 375° , put the freshly caught flounder in the oven and of course season it first. Then watch it cook all while holding a baby.
