Racist and dirty !!!! Straight trash π !!! You are better off in the street or jail instead of here. Stop funding this place now !!!

This is a complete farce.. DO NOT GO HERE!! 3 shelter workers battered me, dragged me out of the shelter, and almost choked me with my own clothes while I was begging them to stop. There was absolutely NO REASON I gave them to EVER put their hands on me. An investigation is taking place.. again.. do not go here. If this is how men are being handled, I could only imagine what worse things could be possibly happening in there, while all they do is cover things up!

The staff are argumentative, bad attitudes and the rules are not flexible. Everyone has different needs but everyone are expected to follow the same pathπ They have a rule that you can't leave out until 8 am and not a minute sooner. The only expectation is if you're headed to work. I would think that if someone is homeless, that you'd want them out hitting the pavement asap so that they can have a productive day. My suggestion to anyone who has to reside there, DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!!!

A great temporary housing facility for the homeless. The organization provides supportive social services and workforce readiness services for their residents. Since 2021, I've partnered with SELF, Inc. rendering job readiness seminars to help residents become employed with area employers in Philly. Shout out to Michael Hinson (Executive Director) and Beverly Gray (Workforce Manager) for their vision to provide a broad array of services to the residents. I'm proud to partner with the entire SELF, Inc. staff! Regards Michael Robinson, M.S. Director, Community Outreach and Hiring Temple University Lenfest North Philadelphia Workforce Initiative

I was there for way too long. It's supposed to be a place that will help someone be self sufficient but they get paid for every full bed count so they keep you there for as long as they can. I eventually did my own footwork and now have my own apartment. No thanks to them.
15 to 30 days thats it
