Brought my 2 grandson's ( 4 and 5) to see the insects. Their favorite part was petting the live tarantula, scorpion, hissing cockroach, and centipede.

Very cool place! Well organized scientific exhibits with lots of artistic and creative displays to engage all ages. LOTS of insect display cases and many live species as well. Live bug "show" with knowledgeable presentation and the ability to touch live specimens if you wished. Reasonable admission price and small gift shop.

How long does it take to walk through everything?

Kristen Freibott | Oct 25, 2018
Heather Dalton | Oct 25, 2018

You can race through in 20 minutes. If you inspect every pinned sample, read every tag, plaque, kiosk and play every game and participate in the hands-on demonstration it could take up to 4 hours. I've been there twice, once with a three year old and once with an almost seven year old. I'm a bit of an insect geek so our visits were two hours and three hours, respectively.
