A wrong size was accidentally mailed to me, but the lady who runs the business quickly arranged to meet with me in the town, where both of us live, to exchange the shirt for the right size one. She suggested to meet, when I said I was too busy to drive to the actual store. I also love that they do free shipping to schools, starting in October.

I just experienced the most horrible experience I’ve ever experienced as an African American consumer in this country. I’ve been respectfully ordering uniforms here for my child every year for 13 years being that there are no other uniform shops in our area. In November I entered the shop intending to purchase extra shirts for my child but they were out of stock so of course due to COVID we understood the delay but were a bit Leary of how things would turn out due to a prior similar situation where we ordered something that was out of stock and although they promised that the skirts would be delivered to the school they were never delivered until I had to pressure them and when we got them my child had outgrown them. Again, there is no other shop I know of who handles the school required colors, styles and emblems in Hudson County so I continue to remain a customer and just pray each year that things work out. Today I just had enough. We possessed a receipt for shirts since last November and just like in the above mentioned case I have not got not one phone call or messsage that the shirts were available after consistently calling getting no answer leaving messages with no response and showing up there all last school year being told the shirts haven’t come in yet. We then just decided we should wait until the start of this school year and have them for the next year so today we called to make sure they were finally in stock and we were meet with blame and disrespect with a line of questioning in obvious attempt to reverse their failed obligation to produce the merchandise onto us however, I immediately began to speak the truth and ask for my money or my merchandise and while in mid sentence the associate didn’t just hang up on me, I heard a growl of discontent come through the phone then a loud slam like I remember hearing when an old school telephone gets slammed down so loud it bothers your ears. Disrespect can come from anywhere or anyone. I don’t know if the Woman knew I was a black man who in her eyes deserved no respect or if she just didn’t care who I was the point is that we will never rise above ignorance if we allow this type of behavior to flourish. This woman should have immediately been reprimanded but when my Lady called back THE OWNER defended her behavior and when the Hudson County Dept of Consumer Protection reached out to them I was informed that they received a similar disposition.

I took my daughter here for uniforms this week and the staff went above and beyond to help me. Even though the store was very busy the staff still managed to make me feel like I was a priority.
