I had a partial ocean view king suite. The good - the room is amazing. It has separate climate zones for the private lockable room and the sofa bed living area. The kitchen area included glasses, utensils, microwave, cooking flattop, and a very large mini fridge. The living room area had a half bath, which was perfect for a child or other guest sleeping on the sofa bed. The views were good, but nothing awe inspiring. The main bedroom bathroom was amazing and really enjoyed everything that was provided (soaps, qtips sunscreen etc). The valet service is quick and enjoyed how effortless that part of the experience was. The pool and spinaker lounge staff was amazing and really made the best out of an underwhelming pool area. The bad - the beach itself is covered in seaweed and makes the beach not great. the chairs are ok and could use an update. I understand it's not the hotels fault, but it does put a damper on the stay especially with the pool. The pool was incredibly underwhelming. It also closes pretty early (9 or maybe 8) They have a huge terrace for laying out which would have been excellent water real estate. It felt very crowded in the pool area. And I would have loved to have gone on a late night swim in the pool. It goes from steps to enter to 5'3 which is nice and deepish. Overall I liked it and would stay in the hotel if I had to go back to the area. I visited other hotels to check them out, and I'd say this one and the Ritz were the best.

Rented beach chairs and umbrellas from Josh at the beach. He was really helpful, great service.

Positive: The layout of the second room I was put in was better. The bells man, maintenance, valet were very nice. Negative: Some of the front desk staff were unpleasant and dismissive. The room was not what we paid for. Also the first room we received was handicapped accessible once the stovetop wasn't working we were transferred to another regular room. Yellow water.

The way it looks I'd say at least 18-24 months.
Yes! You should go to Coconuts and also El Sur at the Hilton!
Yes, service pets are allowed
The 10 miles taking a half hour is real because it is all surface roads and one bridge that goes up frequently.
There are several restaurants within walking distance. S3, Steak 954, Casa Blanca Cafe. Etc.
I would say the pool is geared more towards adults
Uber or Taxi. No hotel shuttle available.
A public beach is across the street. From the 6th floor pool and lounge area, it feels like you're right on the ocean.
