Why play board games at home by yourself when you can go to a charming, cozy place filled with happy people, delicious smells, great atmosphere and enough board games to feed a country of starving people...if their diet consisted of board games. What I'm really just trying to say is if you want to be sociable, learn to play some games, or play a classic favorite while downing some of the best caffinated beverages in the city, you really should just go and visit the fine folks at Spielbound.

I love this place. Wonderful for hanging out with any friends, family, or work colleagues. Great board games, good drinks, decent food, and a wonderful price.

Questions & Answers

Are they doing open play tables like they use to? Where strangers can play with strangers and such?

Peter Evans | May 27, 2022

Yes. As mentioned there are some groups to help schedule a game, and they also have players wanted signs you can put on your table. If there's a game you really want to play and can teach reach out to their volunteer coordinator and schedule a demo where you can teach a few players and play along.

They do! We used to have an interest group before the pandemic (along with Go and Scrabble and Tichu). We currently have a group of elementary school kids that play chess weekly and occasionally bring out backgammon, too.

Im sure they wouldn't have a problem with it, in fact, I'm pretty sure they'll be happy to host you guys. If your worried about your group being too big, then I would suggest reserving one of the privacy rooms they have that seats more people.
