OMG! servings were huge we came home with enough for dinner that night. The oysters were so good and hot, and husband is still talking about the shrimp Po-boy sandwich. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We will be going back soon.

This year, we came here two nights in a row. Was here last year as well. I remember now, last year I ordered rice and gravy as a side and it was horrible. Did it again tonight with my catfish. Wish I remembered last time. Catfish was edible... by far nothing to write home about. Salad bar is okay. But this rice... dear Lord it's the worst on the planet. I can't believe the health department hasn't gotten into them over just this. It's like they cooked it yesterday, left it sit out to dry and then served it with gravy from the refrigerator. The catfish was hot.... this rice was old and cold. Like, the gravy was so cold that I wanted the waiter to touch it and explain how it got that cold... but he never came around again. In the photo, the more yellow rice are all the hard, dry pieces. Yesterday I got the seafood gumbo and the portion for 13 dollars was atrocious. You get more in your morning coffee cup. I eat more than that as an appetizer. Won't be back.

I do not recommend this place at all. We had high hopes because the place was packed. Maybe because it was the only one around. I got the catfish fillets with fries and rice & gravy. My fries were tasteless and cold, so I asked for some hot ones. They brought some, but it tasted like they just microwaved them. They certainly were not fresh and I couldn't eat them. To be honest, I didn't eat anything on my plate and it wasn't cheap. Everything was dry and tasteless. My husband got the seafood buffet. He said the stuffed shrimp were pretty good and a couple of things were ok. They had good fresh iced tea. We won't be back.

We stopped for lunch on our way to South Toledo Bend State Park. It was very easy to find and we were easily able to park our Motorhome in their lot. The bathrooms were clean. The entire restaurant is in an older building that is actually clean and comfortable. Tammy was our server and she did a fantastic job. Our orders were correct, the food came quickly and everything was very good. They have a nice salad bar (you are served, it is not self service). Not sure if that’s a COVID thing or has always been so. Anyway the selection was fairly good and everything was fresh and tasty. Cole slaw was great, green tomato relish very nice and their pickle spears were excellent. They make their own in house tarter sauce that is absolutely the best I’ve ever had. We ordered the chicken fried chicken and the seafood platter. Everything was delicious. The fried corn on cob is incredible. You need to get some. We ate frog legs for the first time and loved them. I believe they do not fry non seafood in the same oil as the seafood, because only the seafood had a seafood taste. The oil actually tasted fresh on all our food. Lastly we had some great pies. The lemon was good, but the coconut cream was the winner. Great food, good atmosphere and superb service.
