Cypress Bend Resort, BW Premier Collection

We had 2 rooms, 1 room had mold in the shower. Some of the outlets didn't work. The outside fans and lights were full of spider webs with lots of spiders. Their social room had some lights full of spider webs and spiders. The resort is not all that great. They could have cleaned up the webs in advance, especially since it was the 4th of July weekend. Everything was due to short staffed, so they said. We were told there would be towels at the pool, but weren't.

First let me say the staff at the front desk were wonderful! They are so friendly. The grounds and views are wonderful but I feel like they spend all their time/money on that and the hotel has so many issues that need attending to. The air conditioner in our room doesn’t cool properly, it makes a loud noise like it’s about to go out. The refrigerator didn’t work properly and the freezer was so full of ice the maintenance man had to come defrost it. The bathtub does not drain so when you take a shower the bathtub fills up with water. There isn’t a microwave in the room and if you need something heated you have to take it to the front desk. Last but not least the ice machine is broken so you have to take your bucket to the bar and ask them for ice. Great property but the hotel is suffering.

We went here because we found their restaurant menu online. We saw great seafood choices. However, when we got there on a Saturday night, the place was empty and the menu was nothing like the one online. False advertising plain and simple. The menu they gave us was poor and fitting of a fast food restaurant. Never again will we go this place.

I've stayed at this resort several times over the years. Each time my stay got a little more unpleasant. This time was the worst. There were ants in both my rooms. It was cold This time around, and the heat didn't not work in my room. The upside to this was, the rooms were very clean.
