Be aware that if you are offered a "Free Consultation", their definition of free is CONDITIONAL. It will only remain free if you decide to continue with services. There is also no value in the consultation beyond the time the Dr spends giving her sales pitch, she did not listen to my individual concerns, as I suppose she starts all patients off with the same tests anyway (once you are a paying customer). So you are paying for her time to see if you think she will personally be a fit - so just know that going in. I paid the surprise bill that came my way (several months after the initial appointment) after the billing person expressed disbelief that I wouldn't expect to pay or that it wouldn't have been clear to me. So that is their ethic. Otherwise, very nice office space and super duper friendly staff, although I didn't feel the "care" for the individual - just a vibe. I believe strongly in functional medicine as a path to addressing root causes of health issues before they become a disease or to reverse disease. I believe, in functional medicine, you should expect a partnership with your doctor and this Dr was just not the right fit for me, personally (billing issue totally aside).

I am so happy with the progress I have made under Dr Meena's care. She has helped me restore the quality of my life. Before coming into her care, I could not sleep. I would become emotional on the smallest of things...I was experiencing a severe case of post menopausal symptoms. My gynecologist told me it is part of aging and I need to learn to accept it. There is not much that she can do. She recommended all kinds of off the shelf products which did not provide any relief to me. But this all changed when I spoke to Dr Meena. She explained to me the step by step process of how she will first restore my cellular health and then she will treat my hormones as treating hormones without first fixing the cellular health can cause other health issues. It all made sense and I started her treatment. I had a great experience at Heal n Cure. For me, over the years medicine has been a rushed visit with a doctor to address an issue and provide a band-aide type approach, never really looking closer at the source of the issue. Heal n Cure is not this traditional approach. During the intake, there was no rush and the Dr. asked a lot of questions and learned a lot about me and my symptoms over the years. Then there were in-depth tests taken as a benchmark and to take a closer look at my overall health. Another key difference in the program was the education. Not just taking the Dr's suggestions or direction, but learning how to eat and exercise better and what that actually means. My experience wasn't covered by insurance, but it was a great investment in my health. I'm excited about my improved health and what I've learned to keep living a healthy life. If you're really looking for a change, I would recommend taking a look at what the program offers to see if it may be a fit for you.
