The Iowa Heart Center is amazing. The doctors, nurses and staff are so friendly and helpful. My wife had the TAVR procedure. The nurses, Heather and Cindy, took great care of my wife. Through phone calls and meeting with them, they scheduled all of her appointments in Des Moines and Waterloo. We are so pleased with their attitude and how they care about their patients. Atul Chawla, MD Interventional Cardiologist is an amazing surgeon. He explained the procedure very well. Also, he has a very pleasant attitude, very professional. The nurses, in the preop/postop were so comforting and caring. I would highly recommend this facility and the staff. They really care.

I have only have one appointment with a cardiac surgeon and a cardiologist but they have done great work. When they saw my cardiac enzymes and then I have a heart attack and the blockage they tried an angiogram that failed but did my open heart surgery and yes there still is pain but and some places you can't even see a scar and they saved my life. The staff is always super nice and if you leave a message for your doctors care team they always call back promptly and have your chart in front of them so they can answer any questions you have

7 am but nobody was there yesterday at 7:30 am.
I think it starts at 7:30 but I'm not 100 percent sure.
There is a parking ramp off Laurel street that is attched to the building or you can use the valet parking service right in front of the building.
