The Family.. husband and wife team I presume CLASS ACT...If had any problems they were very accommodating and respectful and fair..I can appreciate the work effort put towards customer service. My experience might not be the same as you. But if you stay honest and be respectful towards the staff/owners then I bet you will be blown away by how much they are willing to help you out with issues. Other places need staff like them . Truly caught me off guard with their hospitality... I really did have a relaxing time there .. friendly people around me as well.. amazing

I was an AT thru-hiker who had to stay here when I got delayed in Bennington and my (awesome) motel just up the street was already booked for the next night. So, this review is based on a compare & contrast with that "other" motel less than a mile up the road towards Bennington. Summary: The Starlight is a much lower quality room, lower quality location, and lower quality service for 50% more money; the second-worst value I experienced on my 2200 mile trip. Rustic is okay; dirty and dilapidated is not.

very small rooms but there was two adults and two children! i even asked if they had bigger rooms bc i needed some space we literally had to lay in bed the whole time there that or go to bathroom! but nice owners can't complain there - only thing that upset me was i did ask owner for a bigger room n they said all rooms same size but got home n went on website only to find they did have bigger rooms bc the pics are online of them so i was offended that especially since i paid the holiday rate that i wasn't able to switch even after everyone left after holiday and i was still paying holiday fee not offered bigger room 🙁 so not sure what is up with that?? but fine bc next time will find bigger room elsewhere

We picked this Inn due to its close proximity to the shops along Main Street. Checked in on a Friday night with a friend for a weekend getaway. The room was small, yet cozy. The floors were new and the floor tile in the bathroom seemed to be newer as well. Wallpaper was old and stained and very outdated. Tile in the bathroom was outdated as well and the drain in the shower was almost unspeakable. My friend and I opted to wait to take a shower at another hotel that we were going to Saturday night. The beds were cheap spring mattresses and the pillows were unsupportive and flat. We had to plug the refrigerator in for dinner leftovers and every time it kicked on, it woke us up. It didn't really feel like the safest place for two females traveling alone to stay. Although the service was polite and friendly, we have decided we would not stay there again, especially if we wanted a good night's sleep.
