Always a huge line, no matter if you’re inside the pharmacy or in the drive-thru. I’ve had to wait upwards of 45 minutes to get my prescription filled. Lanes are often closed and only one pharmacy tech member working at a time, which makes the process all the more slower. I transferred over to the CVS across from campus and don’t have any complaints there. Pharmacists are always willing to discuss prescriptions and offer help in a timely manner. While H‑E‑B is a great place to shop, stay away from the pharmacy. Prices for prescriptions are also heavily inflated, even with insurance.

My son is a college student in Waco. After waiting in the drive thru for 30 minutes he was told when he got to the window that his prescriptions were not ready and asked to come wait inside. He then waited inside for an hour in the sitting area at the pharmacy. When the meds were finally ready, they told my son that I could call in to give payment over the phone with our HSA medical card. I called immediately and was not able to get anyone to answer the phone for 20 minutes. My son still sitting there needing his medicine. He was waiting on an inhaler, steroids, and cough medicine following a bad asthma attack. Two hours later he finally had his prescriptions. We have been longtime H-E-B customers wherever we have lived. Being in a college town and probably servicing lots of college students, this HEB pharmacy needs to step it up and provide these young students far away from home, a good and reliable place to get their medicine in a timely manner. Very disappointing. We will be transferring all prescriptions to the CVS right across from campus.

Not happy with the Pharmacy- At 2 pm I called ahead on Thursday to be sure my prescription was ready for pick up so I could pick up quickly in the drive thru. I was told to give them till 3 pm and it would be ready. I showed up to pharmacy to pick up RX at 6 pm same day & was told I had no RX ready. I told them that I had just called at 2 & they assured me it would be ready so I didn't have to wait or hold up line & I had to be somewhere by 6:30...they told me it would take 5 min: being a pre-package RX they just needed to dock it and put a label on it (I work in healthcare)...20 min pass by & I was still waiting and the girls working were avoiding me, I had pushed the call button at 10 min mark & 15 minute mark, finally, at 6:25 I have my RX. Being that this is the 2nd time this has happened & why I called ahead to be sure it didn't happen again, I will be switching my pharmacy. HEB has been my pharmacy for 15 years so it does sadden me to leave but I cant help it that the people are slacking and lack great customer service. Especially when I called ahead to try to avoid this from happening again.
