Terrible company. Don’t run their loads. In February I ran a round trip load from Kansas to Utah and till today I haven’t been paid. Their excuse was - another carrier ran the same load. Even one of their guys says he doesn’t understand why accounting isn’t releasing payment. Almost 9k of unpaid invoice

The chrome cafe is awesome food and reasonable

This company is very racist. And the people who do the DOT physical for them are racist too. If you are black please stay away from this company.

Promoting drivers falsifying logs.

They mostly run peterbilts
Yeah, technically not supposed use the phone while driving. And btw the Qualcomm systems will be obsolete here in a couple of months...
On line is good. CDL school
Every thing she just said.......its trucking boot camp. But they should email you an orientation checklist.... and you will have a roommate if they didn't tell you
All 48 and some Canada. As Robert previously stated, our freight is limited out west, so we don't run that way much. Our "Cutoff Line" is approximately Denver as far as a main running area. Canada is mostly our boat division, but there is some line haul freight that goes into and comes out of. (Steel and shingles mostly to my knowledge.)
Of course. I can and do hit any state I feel like going to
That's funny EK, I'm buying a truck from TMC truck sales and it has around 550k miles on it and its cost is around 60k. Seems like some if the people answering questions have bad attitudes or just aren't happy with life in general, which would explain their weak paychecks and lack of get up and go. Flatbedding is not an easy job in the tru king industry, and you unhappy people should look in the mirror for your problems and stop trying to blame Everyone else for your problems. 6 P's Perseverance, planning prevent piss poor performance
They guarantee48 out of 52 weekends home and do everything to live up to that
Jason Roberts, that I do not know. I do know we have drivers that live out toward California and Nevada area. I would suggest call the TMC transportation number. They will be able to better Identify areas.
Most states you have to be 23 years old to get CDL that allows you to drive in other states. I could be wrong on age. 21 to 23 years of age.
Has gotten very worse...denny's can't hire anyone educated enough to take orders..brain dead..
Hi my name is Clement i would like to know if i can get training i all ready get my clp
Friday night leave on Sunday sometimes home for a 34 hour reset and that is it. Average 40-50 hours home. Good luck taking time off I asked for some off for my anniversary and got told best they could do is give me friday off. Will have to stay out some weekends but do get home most weekends
If you're unexperienced 26% If you're experienced 27% but there is more to it than that call a recruiter
Not hard usually want 2 years with company but if you have previously pulled an rgn then can get in sooner
Yes they have a heavy haul division with step decks
Yes if you have a place to park but the trailer has to stay hooked to the truck
Your fine where you are
They do with a rider waiver signed. Riders must be over the age of 10 years last I heard. No pets.
Driver pays for it.
Larry they do not have a terminal in texas. They will get you a car or pay for your gas to travel to des Moines. It is a 3 week course for the CDL plus five weeks otr with a trainer near your home.
Tmc mainly only hires married spouses or siblings for team driver.
Application process is usually fairly quick, however it's currently the holidays, and recruiters may be on vacation. Regardless of previous CDL status I believe the CDL class is two weeks, however I've seen people move into driving phase after one. A recruiter would be better to answer your questions. Give the recruitment phone line a call tomorrow Morning and see what they say. Good luck.
Did you talk to a recruiter?? If you don't have a license yet and you go through TMC won't have to pay to get your CDL. Is that what you were trying to do?
You won't get a lot of vacation time as a trucker if you want to make money. I work on a dedicated account in a day cab and I work 14 hours a day. Definitely the wrong profession for someone who is worried about vacation time.I really don't mean to sound negative at all I'm just being honest. And for all I know you could just be curious which is obviously fine I'm just saying, anywhere you work in this industry will be lots of hours and relatively little vacation time.
No you don't. If you have 3 months experience or less but HAVE your CDL already, you would go to the inexperienced driver orientation which lasts 2 weeks. After that you'd spend 5 weeks with a trainer driving and getting real hands on experience securing flatbed loads.
The company will send you to school and you pay them back they can tell you more just make sure if you have family they know what is coming
Both but are supposed to be going fully auto
Best one I can say is cr England and for your tire rub is because they haul specialized over size and if you hit a curb you might damage your load is what they are worried about
Some of TMC's classes are paid. Suggest working with your recruiter or calling TMC to better understand your exact situation. The website is WWW.TMCTRANS.COM
We are really not hiring much in Texas bc there is a huge surplus of current drivers in Texas. Doesn't mean not to apply, but I do know as of a month or two ago a lot of Texas was listed as "not hiring." We definitely have a cdl training program that will earn you a cdl, not guaranteed employment upon completion though
If not a driver now they have a school in des Moines they can put you thru
I'm sure they would. They have loads going everywhere.
Been home every weekend so far except 1 & that was my decision.
TMC doesnt have a school in Texas. If you Google local CDL schools in the Austin area that should bring up some good local schools
My husband went to a different school to get his CDLs. He did do his 2 week training and 5 week with a driver trainer. We got paid $600 per week.
Few manuals left but all new trucks coming in are automatic and I'm %90 sure you can do teams
Yes they will ..
I think about a week or less
U can make 50 to 60 pretty easily
I am not sure you might want to address with HR
They are an awesome company they try to get you home most weekends.
They have local positions in silver grove ky just across the bridge delivering drywall
2500 to 3000
I think you have to be 21 yrs old.
Yes. The ones I've seen are used on dedicated routes. I've never used one though.
They want it off your collar
50$ per week while in school. 500$ during your 5 weeks with a trainer. 1000$ your first 2 weeks solo.
They want an A cdl, if you have any other option take it and run away
Depends on freight and area some areas hard to get you home every weekend
I am from ga I went to tech school it was was like maybe 300 out of pocket and the hope grant paid the rest and I just got my truck at tmc
Yes they are vert military friendly they are a great company
As long as your accident and criminal history is clear 😊
Gaston south carolina not 100% but i think brownsburg Indiana
We get paid in jealousy from other drivers like you
Believe only places they have for training is in Iowa and South Carolina. Best of luck!
Yeah I think they hire out off Ohio. No flatbed exp required they train you.
There isn't one
Always call them and ask. Worse thing they can say is not right now
I am not a driver. But i do work at TMC. It is a great company to work for.
slowly going to full automated transmissions. Some drivers leaving upon recieving their autos.
It's hard you need to be very good with money
Some. Not primarily a team operation but some midrange overnight team loads. If your looking for produce east coast to west coast loads then no. My wife and I have teamed her 15 yrs or so. No complaints
Just call and talk to them fill out app go thru training get ur training
Freight in Denver area is spotty at best. But it's possible missouri not a issue.
Im sure they do just call the co
We are home every weekend.. we offer cpm pay or percentage pay your choice. If you want to stay out for weeks at a time your choice.. we are a employee owned company.. we have performance based pay you run hard n legally your pay goes up..we have stock in our company after our first year... I'm not quiet clear on what you mean by free and clear?
Home time is good, typically home every weekend. Don't listen to this stupid moron Mike Austin.
I started when i was 40 drove 8 yrs for tmc and now i work in the office never too late
If you've been driving for 27 years and someone speeding through a parking lot is the dumbest damn thing you've ever seen, you must be on a local route for all those years.
If you take percentage pay it will be 26% of the truck revenue for the truck, 26% of each load, if you do cpm it's .40 cpm you always have room to grow each quarter, your money depends on how bad you want it
What kind of stupid question is that?
