My room smelled funny almost like a moldy musty smell I had to spray stuff every day sometimes a few times a day to make the room smell a little better but you could still smell the smell and the rooms are never cleaned ever bedding was never changed the whole time t stayed there and I was placed there do to being a victim of domestic violence with my son and granddaughter now we are pushed out with no where to go because DSS has not sent a housing voucher for us to continue to stay in our rooms

The place was very clean and we found the service to be just fine. We communicated with the owner(?)/manager via email and she emptied the garbage and gave us fresh towels. The place is old and outdated and there was mold on the shower ceiling. But the beds were clean and comfortable, the room did not smell, and the price was very good. We stayed for a week and it was all we needed. Bring an extension cord with you as there are few outlets. There was no shampoo but we had our own. I wish the shower had some pressure. That was a drawback. But otherwise, we had a good week at a reasonable price.

The Blue Whale

This is a nice, quiet out of the way place to stay. Staying anywhere inside of Corning will either put you next to a busy freeway or in a shopping plaza. The lawns here are kept clean and well maintained. You might see some of the local inhabitants foraging the grounds. Chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits and a variety of birds. Blue jays, finches, cardinals, and hummingbirds. Our room featured a mini fridge and microwave. The bathroom had a ceiling heat lamp. We had two chairs and a table for eating or doing paperwork. Anything we requested such as clean linens, clean towels, soap, toilet paper, plastic cups, etc. was provided. The only downside we had during our stay was that the room only had a single available outlet near the sink, which made using and charging a laptop difficult. Though, an extension cord may have been available if we had asked. As a side note: If you choose to stay amongst the non-smoking rooms, please be considerate and don't smoke in it. It can bother other guests (such as myself) and may prevent you from renting a room again.

It was a pleasant little place, if a bit old. Everything the room had worked (didn't try the cable or TV), and everything was clean. Pillows leave something to be desired, but nothing an extra blanket and towel couldn't fix. WiFi worked, if a bit spotty from our room. Still though, I'm overall happy about the price and our stay!
