Very smooth process! Although I did have all of my documents!

The people working here are so rude no matter how nice you are they aren’t helpful at all

I had to request a replacement SS card for my minor daughter. I needed to return to the office with the proper documentation. The clerks were helpful and fast both times. They directed me exactly what I would need to finish the process. The security guard however, is extremely rude and felt the need to insult and talk down to me when I checked in the 2nd time.

I have called 3 days in a row with no answer just on hold for 30min to an hour

In order to get a replacement social security card or SSN. You will need to simply request a "replacement card" and no other changes, you can use the online services from anywhere. all you need to do is log in or create your own personal "My social security account" and you can then re-quest for a new SS Card!
Start a claim online at www.ssa.gov first and that will save you a lot of time and give you all of the information needed to proceed. Once needed to come in or go over it on the phone, they will contact you.
Varies, depending on what your disability is and what medical history you already have documented. Check www.ssa.gov
You don't need to come in and simply need to head online to the social security gov website - sign in/up and then simply REQUEST a new card and nothing else, if its just a replacement that's fine, but if you moved states or country's and need a new one, you'll have to go in person!
Yes you can!
Walk into the building, sign in on the big screen and wait for your ticket # to be called, tell them you want to sign up for benefits.
Take a valid ID in and they can hook you up. Or go to the SSA website and create an account.
If you go to this office the nice ladies will help you out, explain everything and give you the help you need. I just did a similar thing for myself and they were very helpful and got it all done quickly.
Was he just born? If so its free it just takes way longer than they say. You do have to request one if the hospital didn't do so. It took them like six weeks to send mine out it was supposed to take three ...
No appointment needed! Just go and bring everything you need document wise! You will not get help without proper documentation!!!
Should be able to apply on line and then they will contact his doctors and have them fill out paperwork to show his disability. Once SS gets all the information they will process the claim.
Call the office or the 800 number.
You can file for 1/2 of his social security as survivor benefits. You can get a portion of his social security if you are not working. It depends on whose social security is highest. You can check with social security on the phone or go to nearest social security office.
No,sorry
Fraud. I have gotten those same calls. Easy answer is the government does not contact people by phone.
I do not know. Suggestion, call them to verify or go online to the social security website.
To Obtain a Replacement Card Requesting a replacement card online is available in most states. We are continuously working to make this service available to additional states. To Obtain a Replacement Card, if lost or stolen, you must prove your identity and U.S. citizenship. To prove identity: Social Security must see: U.S. driver’s license; or State-issued non-driver identity card; or U.S. passport. If you do not have these specific documents or cannot get a replacement for them within ten days, Social Security will ask to see other documents, such as: Employee ID card; School ID card; Health insurance card (not a Medicare card); U.S. military ID card To prove U.S. citizenship: Under recent changes in law, only certain documents can be accepted as proof of U.S. citizenship. These include: U.S. birth certificate; U.S. passport

They except walk in and no you don't need an appointment. Just sign in on the screen select the best option for you. Let the security guard check your bags if available then wait until your number is called.
I would like to make an appointment... But, it will take an hour of waiting on the phone. Might there be another option to make an appointment at the Belleville office. Thanks in Advance..!
You have to call the toll free number of the SS website to make an appointment
a ID with photo
They do have counselors there but you may want to start the process on line on their website first.
Call up there for an appointment or take you military papers with you and do a walk in appointment. Make sure you have AT LEAST 2 forms of ID proving you are who you say you are. The process may take some time depending how long you have been out unless you are still in.
No, they can get the process started without an appointment
You go in person to show your marriage license.
Sorry I'm not sure .
