I found Dr. Paul Sasser extremely caring. He wanted to explain exactly what was going on and how it should be treated. He made sure I understood exactly what he was taking about and asked several times if I had any unanswered questions. I was given as much time as I needed to discuss my situation without feeling rushed. Dr.Sasser seemed very interest in my needs

If I could give this quack 0 stars I would. My mother went to Conway medical center where Dr. Sasser said she needed a life saving surgery because their was in abcess in her abdomen and a tear in her colon. A nurse let her know day before the surgery that he was doing it the next morning and he had in his file he went and spoke with my mother. He never came and told her when the surgery was or that he was doing it. This was after he had told her he could do the surgery but didn't want to. He told us both he'd rather her go to a specialist at Charleston hospital. So I go to the hospital. Had him come in to speak with us because I had questions and so did my mother who was too scared to ask. I voice recorded the entire thing on my cellphone. Everytime I asked him a question he would get loud and said I was the hostile one. He then told my mother if she was questioning him that she could find a new doctor. He said she would die and she would never find a better doctor than him. He was going to cut her open, remove the abcess and give her a "temporary" colostomy bag. We walked right out of that hospital and I drove her to Charleston. When arriving at Charleston they did all of the same tests. They couldn't believe the way that her and I were treated. She had a team of doctors and specialists in gi tell her that she didn't have a tear in her colon and that she did not need surgery or a colostomy bag. They hooked her up to the strongest antibiotics they could and they day she left her abcess had shrank from 7 cm to 1. It is gone now, she is happy and healthy but no thanks to this guy. He should have his medical license stripped.

Today was my third time in Dr Sasser’s office. The first time I had to reschedule after waiting over 45 min past my appointment time and finally approached the desk to request a reschedule. The second time we were one of the first appointments of the day. Now the third appointment we were over an hour before being seen. I listened to him chat with an intern about my husband, through a closed door, giving her the details of his test results (and discuss a television program they both were interested in) He seems to be a personable man but the office appears to need better management. It is my impression the individuals in this office do not value the time of others and are quite surprised when this bothers the patient. I understand that situations arise but should not the office staff communicate that to those checking in? There were so many people waiting to be seen but I did not hear one apology or an offer to reschedule. In the future I will look for another physician that can help us.

I had to have a cyst removed in 2018 and Dr. Sasser was very kind and made me feel at ease as he removed it since I didn't have to be put under anesthesia. Hoping to make another appointment this week for another issue.

Yes

Paul Sassar is evil. Almost died from his uncaring and unbelievable attitude. This was 2008. In 2012 had to have a partial colectomy from his incompetence. This all stemmed from an appendectomy.

May I add I was in Conway Hospital for 3 weeks and had to be transferred to MUSC. This experience still haunts me to this day.
