1 star is honestly generous for the the kind of experience I had. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! I started the day with a fully functioning phone, and I ended it with the same phone, without service. Went in to upgrade to the new IPhone 14. I was informed that in order to use the 14, I would have to change to an “unlimited plan” which, I agreed to. Well after running my card for the purchase of the phone and the new plan, I realized that I was instead sold the IPhone 13. The service tech refunded my money, but because I had already made a “purchase” today my account had a 24hr “hold” placed on it from making anymore changes. Instead I was told to go to the Apple store and purchase it there in order to get around the “hold” placed on my account. After talking with the folks at the apple store I was informed that based on the changes to my AT&T account they couldn’t activate my serivce for 24hrs. After getting home and calling AT&T customer service on a friends phone, I was informed that the service tech at the AT&T store had deactivated my SIM card, thus I was left without service on my current phone. In addition he had failed to correct the changes to my account as it still showed I was using a IPhone 13. I can understand mistakes being made, but when somebody is unwilling to correct those mistakes, that’s when I draw the line. Plus it didn’t help that the service tech seemed more interested in watching the football game on TV than getting the order right.

TLDR my phone was eligible for trade in for the phone I wanted, but was told he didn't think it was. I got home and purchased the phone online, through trade in. I was at this location around noon on October 22nd 2022. I don't know if the white dude there was grumpy because I had called earlier asking about a particular phone being in stock and hung up after being on hold for 8 minutes, but he kept saying "I don't think.." in response to the questions I was asking. My partner asked if he thought or if he was sure, and he said he knew but wasn't being paid to think. Anyway. He said my phone wasn't eligible for trade in for what I wanted, and kept suggesting the wrong color or other trade in options I already said I didn't want to do. Left without the phone. At home I completed the trade in and ordered what I wanted. Overall an uncomfortable interaction.
