First Congregational was founded as an abolitionist church in 1852, and remains a place that welcomes all. It is known for it's choir and music program.I Its an open and affirming congregation with children and youth programs from preschool through youth group.

Yes, we have an adult Chancel Choir that rehearses weekly and shares music in our weekly worship services. We also have a children's choir that gathers occasionally throughout the year.

Yes, we are an Open and Affirming congregation, which means we welcome all people into the full life of our congregation. We are a safe congregation for LGBTQ+ people, and we participate in the St. Louis Pride parade each year.
