The hotel room wasn’t clean at all. When we arrived there were crumbs inside the dresser . The whole room wasn’t vacuumed it left black on the bottom of your feet if you didn’t wear shoes . Our shower was backed up and wasn’t draining thankfully we had assistance with that. Room service forgot to clean our room and we had to have someone clean it when we arrived back . The pool is an inside pool and had so many different types of bugs and they didn’t restock on towels . The man at the counter was very nice so that’s a plus!

This was the perfect stopover for our family on our cross-country road trip. The hotel was neat and clean, breakfast was perfect, and the pool was great for our kids to wear themselves out before bed. (Note: there’s no hot tub even though the photos show one. Looks like it’s been removed and covered with tile.) The two complaints we had were that the room had a lot of disrepair and there were water issues. Pieces of baseboard were falling off walls and there were a lot of places in the bathroom that looked like someone had done a quick repair job instead of a good one. The water issues were due to the boil notice for the city of Grinnell. We were not told at check on that there was any issue with water and had been drinking it freely until we overheard other guests discussing the need for bottled water. Upon asking the front desk, we were told not to drink the water, but bottled water was not available until around 9:30pm, much past our Childrens’ bedtimes.

Was sent up for work and was there for a week. Place was almost immaculate! I used a black light on the room and had now issues except the bathroom floor under the sink and the the light switch and walls of the backsplash are the only thing that didn’t pass my black light test. Other than that the place was amazing breakfast was delicious when I was able to eat it. The hosts I dealt with were very accommodating!

Friendly staff, comfortable, quiet and clean room. Price was reasonable. Purple-hair desk clerk at check in recommended a great restaurant for dinner. Love his lab retriever sidekick who is pretty much the friendliest dog ever. We will definitely stay over there again the next time we're staying in that area.
