Questions & Answers

My sister Beverly Hancock purchased several tickets for Saturday evening June 22nd. Two members of that group are unable to attend that night and i was hoping we could trade the tickets for Thursday evening. Would that be possible?

The playhouse policy is typically no refunds or exchanges expect for season ticket exchanges. However call during the evening, sometimes there are ticketing volunteers available, if not leave a message. Sometimes they can. Be sure to select the option for asking questions or season tickets. The ticket sales option takes you to the vendor who can only sell tickets.

What are the ages

Your question was not specific in what you are looking for so the following answer applies to most content at the theater. LGP is a family oriented theater and most shows are open for all ages to attend. Shows intended for more mature audiences usually will have a warning posted. The Rocky Horror Show for example, it is recommended for audiences over 18 but younger audience members do attend with their parents. Additionally some of the cast members are as young as 16 with parent approval. Casting for shows is often open for a wide range of ages with actors as young as 3, when parents or older siblings are in the show. The cast ages all depend on the content of the show. The youth productions in the summer is for cast members under 18.

What are the Audition requirements?

Sharon Sherrer | Oct 25, 2018
Bradley Sanker | Oct 25, 2018

Audition requirements are different for each show but generally for musicals we require you to sing 16 measures of an upbeat broadway style song with our piano player. We also do a cold reading from the script. Plays are the same but without the music requirement. For the upcoming youth production the above rules apply. Kids who are not looking for a speaking part will sing as a group to a familiar song from the show. Don’t worry we will teach it to them.
