I just retired and wanted to get back into cycling after 5 years away from riding. A friend suggested South Side Cyclery because the staff is so knowledgeable. Owners Tim & Deanna are amazing! Deanna started by understanding my needs and current skill set. She spent over an hour with me getting the right fit and making sure I was comfortable with the Liv bike (brand dedicated to women) that I had selected. The entire staff is friendly and their customer service is outstanding! If I could give more than five stars for this review, I would!

I asked the staff here if they could give me some old bike tires they were otherwise throwing away to use to make traction strips for my son’s power wheels. They told me they would save some and the next day I came back and they had some tires for me for free. Yay recycling!

The work I've gotten there has always come out correct. Recently this has been a chain and tires over about a year. Their selection is better now that things are getting back to 'normal'. Last trip I had was somewhat obnoxious as the younger person at the register kept trying to upsell me on $400+ worth of stuff when I needed/came in for far less than that. However I did ultimately get what I was looking for and I have been satisfied with the quality.

Sounds like a bike that Touring Cyclist sold in the 80's, it was a good bike at that time. If it is need of repair we would need you to bring it it for evaluation.
Not entirely sure, I think there were only new bikes on showroom floor. Another store had used bikes on floor, but I think they were a specific brand

Yep! They ask for twenty five percent down and give you six months to pay it off. But they're flexible and happy to work with you.
