Location is great...however the company that runs it does not seem to acknowledge that the Town of Normal is suppose to be "friendly and helpful". We had a wonderful dinner at one of the restaurants w our family. We were unable to locate our parking stub and pushed the lost ticket button when leaving...we were charged $24 to get out due to losing our ticket...had been parked from about 6:20 pm until 8 pm. Should have been free for that time period. When I called the number for assistance we were told that is the policy and price for losing a ticket. Not only does this seem unreasonable, but the person on the phone was not very friendly. They are contracted by the Town of Normal, but we were told it would not matter who we called that it was our fault for losing our parking stub. I did leave a message at the number for Town of Normal on the parking website. Wondering how many others have had a similar experience. ****I would like to update...after contacting the Town of Normal with my concern... I did get a call from Heartland Parking Services on 7/31...they apologized and assured me this is not how they operate and would be working with the employee that was on duty that night. We did get our $24 for the lost ticket refunded. This was greatly appreciated. Would have happily pd a fee for the lost ticket, but not over half the cost of a $40 monthly parking permit.
