Adopt a pet please
Dawn Conway
Very friendly and make every effort to match the pet w the right person/family. We are so happy that we were "adopted" by an angel kitty. We had been catless for four years...after having one or two since 1980!!

Left 4 stars because I've never even been here, but my phone seems to think I have been

Very friendly, competent & helpful. I selected a dog, brought my 2 dogs back to see how they got along & took all 3 back home. It's going very well.

Anthony Freehill, There are low cost spay and neuter clinics, you must have government assistance for these. You'll have to call and ask about it. Please don't kick your pet out in the cold, that's called abandonment, it's illegal, inhumane, and animal abuse Animal abuse is a felony in Illinois now I believe.
You can call TSC on RT9. Sometimes they do specials on shots. Also call Animal Control. They also run specials on shots.
16+ volunteer alone / under 16 only with a parent. But please don't let age stop u it's a wonderful experience !!!
About $150.00
I doubt that the humane society will people donate stuff there for the cats that they bring in to adopt out But it doesn't hurt to call and find out
No, HSCI is not a boarding facility.
They do but you should call ahead of time to make sure they have space!
Available dogs are posted to our website. https://www.hscipets.org/adoptdog.htm Keep checking to see what is available. You can also submit an adoption application from the website to have that on file for 6 monhts and ready for when you find the right pet.
Tractor Supply Co, PetCo, and PetSmart offer vaccination clinics. Visit their websites for more information and to view if dates have been set.
Consult with your vet to see if they know of a group that works with diabetic cats.
All of our adoptable cats/kittens are listed on the HSCI website. https://www.hscipets.org/adoptcat.htm We update the website as animals become available for adoption.
You can do so on the HSCI website. https://www.hscipets.org/donations.htm Scroll down the page and select Honorarium Donation
Please contact the office at 309-451-1000 to discuss.
We do not sell rabbits. Animals are companion pets only and available for adoption with an approved applications. All available pets may be viewed on our website at https://www.hscipets.org
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age to work independently. Volunteers ages 8 to 17 must be accompanied by either a parent or guardian 25 years or older who is also a volunteer and must perform the same tasks. Children under the age of 8 cannot volunteer at the shelter, but can help the animals in other ways by collecting much needed supplies to donate. https://www.hscipets.org/volunteeropportunities.htm
Give them a call in the morning to check policies.
Yes, part of the adoption process is to get the new dog acclimated to any other dogs you have at home. Go in by yourself first, tell them what you're thinking and the dog or dogs you are interested in. They'll schedule a time for you to bring your dog in and interact with the dogs your interested in. :)
I don't know. You should call them, they're very helpful though. I went to Animal Protection League in Springfield. My Mii Pen was fixed, shots, & microchiped, all for $107.00.
Yes they do.
I doubt it, but if there is I'm sure they will direct you to other rescue centers in the area.
Totaled I believe we paid about $130.00 for our 2 year old black lab
Yes. They have to be over 16 to walk a dog by themselves. Otherwise, as long as an adult is with them, you're good 😎
There is a class that you have to attend first which you can find on their website. Aftet that you can go in whenever and volunteer as much or as little as you like.
There is an Emergency Clinic on Oakland in Bloomington, Il. They are great. Good luck
Go to the Humane Society. You would have to go volunteer training. They always need volunteers.
YES, sometimes they do. But just in case call before u take them in.
I don't believe they handle reptiles any more. But feel free to call them they might be able to help u out.
Under 18 you needed a parent's permission
Yes, there are 2 there currently
There is a $100 fee to adopt a kitten. A second kitten would be $50, and older cats are less.
Yes they are
Call animal control they are the one who deal with that kind of stuff
Baby kittens are a hit commodity at the Humane Society
