Hot water issue, I'd just call up there and see if they can send maintenance over. Could be a faulty part, mine had this issue back in November. When it comes to the smell, I think it would have to depend on how long you've been there. Their offices are open at their normal time now, I think it'd be best to call and talk to someone there. They're usually really good at getting things set right.
