We rent a lot here and are incredibly blessed for it. Mr. King, our landlord, is a retired officer of the law. We feel SO SAFE living here because of the rules he put into place. NO ONE is allowed to be about the trailer park soon as night fall comes. Yes you are allowed to be outside of your own home but there's no running around in the trailer park because people who are out running around at night time are generally up to no good. We don't have to worry about anyone touching our belongings, don't have to worry about anyone peeping in our windows. It has a beautiful pond in the back that Mr King allows us to go fishing in and they keep the grounds so neat and clean. It is a true honor and a blessing to be able to rent from him. He's honest, hard-working, caring, and always does what is right. If you have a chance to ever rent from him you should because he is the best landlord and Onslow county hands down.

Just tried calling to ask about available properties and I was almost immediately treated like a threat or some sort of criminal. I'm 30 yrs old, mother to a 6 yr old and I work full time. My husband is a Marine Veteran wounded in combat, who served two deployments in Afghanistan and is now an OTR truck driver gone 23-27 days a month. Today, the property owner's wife answered my phone call and almost immediately assumed that I didn't have money available to put down on a rental (false). She then very rudely suggested that if we had ANY criminal record that we would be denied (we both have no criminal record). Then she made another insult comment basically saying that my husband would have to sign lease since he made all the money. Then she claimed there would be nowhere for him to park a semi 3-6 days a month (despite the massive acres of property). When I told her he had other trucker stations where he can pay to park his truck, she made a comment that suggested everyone who lived there is like family and they keep a close eye (as if to insinuate that we would need to be watched) followed by another final insult that my husband and I would probably be too loud for the complex (because of partying, fighting, or loud music) etc. So to the woman I was talking to: Yes ma'am I hung up the phone on you because I felt no reason to have to defend myself against things that I have no association with. You assumed the worst without even meeting me in person, and it lost you solid long term business. Too many other rental options where my money and personal morals and standards won't be utterly disrespected. Glad to know how these people handle business with tenants BEFORE signing a year of my life away to somebody who's looking to find a problem.
