My plants arrived in excellent condition. My maple trees are already displaying vibrant fall colors. My plants arrived packaged in plastic and ground moss, and the roots were well moist upon receiving. I will be a return customer to TN Nursery. You also sent me a free fern! Who else does this and appreciate a good business? I give you six stars.

My perennials came today. You asked me if I like my products to leave a good review. I am leaving one to let you know your plants are superior in quality to any I've purchased in the past. I got two free plants, and I do appreciate this. I see that your nursery works hard to service customers and keep them. I will also be purchasing gift cards for my family's Christmas gifts. They will love the quality plants at affordable prices too.

Customer service at this business is extremely insufficient.

Not customer centric, paid extra for screened soil. When loaded noticed a 10 lb stone in the mix. Guy who loaded said just toss it. My question was how is this screened with a large rock. Assured me that was an oddity. Needless to say once dumped there were several rocks and sticks to remove. I didn't get the impression they cared whether or not I did business with them.

I want to start some fruit trees, but am confused about what time of year to plant, and which is best, bare root or potted trees? Thanks

Tom Anderson | Oct 25, 2018
Tennessee Nursery | Oct 25, 2018

Planting trees during dormancy is the best time to plant. That would be either late fall after the tree has dropped it's leaves, or early spring before they shoot off new buds. The container grown trees can handle either season as long as they are still dormant. Bare root trees are better off planted in early spring because the fragile root system is not as tolerable to the cold soil temperatures during the winter months and would prefer the warmer early spring temperatures. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
