All of the staff at the Aurora DMV are efficient, and very nice. I needed to do a title transfer and they got me in and out within 25 minutes. The officer at the door made it easy, by directing me to the right window, and Edith the supervisor is amazing. Thank you Edith!!

Was there for license renewal (for real id). Was surprised with fast and painless procedure. No waiting (online appointment needed). Staff was very friendly.

I went to take my drivers exam and I passed so far everything was going well and I was excited to take the driving portion, I ended up getting a man who was bald I can’t remember his name but for starters he seemed uninterested, I sensed his attitude the moment he spoke to me. As we got in the car I asked if my mom could be in the car since it was raining he rudely said “no spectators” I said okay that’s fine. We begin to drive and as we’re hitting a few stop signs he starts to rudely say that I wasn’t stopping correctly even though I was. He told me if I had taken any classes in school I said no they never taught me how to do these things and he said “well that’s a you problem you should know”. He told me to do a curb turn backwards and as I was doing that he was basically yelling at me making me even more nervous than I already was. This was my first time taking the drivers test and I now believe how rude they can be.

You need documents that show your proof of BIRTH, ADDRESS, SIGNATURE & SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. •Birth Certificate •Social Security Card •Debit Card •Mail from a government (state or federal agency) If you don’t have your social security card then simply bring your insurance or Medicaid/Medicare to your local SSI office, apply for replacement, and 1-2 weeks later your receive a new one in the mail. Only then, will you be able to get a new ID.
No, you have to bring your own.
1. Visit an Illinois DMV 2. Provide proof of your signature, birth date, SSN, and residency. 3. Pay the $10 (Under 18 years old) or $20 (18 years old and up) identification card fee.
