Nice camping spot. A buddy and I have canoed here a few times and its been a nice hang. Plenty of places to set up a tent or hammock. If you're allergic to Poison Ivy, be weary, It grows like carpet across the ground coming up from the river side. Everytime I've camped here I've got it. Not complaining though. The place does get a lot of traffic, most people are friendly and keep to themselves. Haven't noticed any trash around like other reviews have pointed out. The noise is low. You may hear a gun shot or some loud car way in the distance, but its mostly peacful. Please clean up after yourself and help preserve the area.

Great for primitive camping. Only accessible by small boat or 3 mile hike. No potable water or electricity.

This is a beautiful primitive campsite on the river just above Granger lake. It is a 2.5 mile hike along the Comanche Bluff trail, or a half mile trip by canoe or kayak from the primitive boat ramp. Lots of shady pecan trees, a few picnic tables, a fire pit and a Swedish composting toilet are about all that is there.

At commanche bluff trail head. It is a 3 mile walk from there
Yes, but if you want to stay the night, you need to call first. They'll want to know how many people, how long you're staying, and the details of any vehicles being left at the dock.
Probably not, just a few of usually. I'll not be there this year though...
