Excellent hidden place to get DMV services without the poor service of Carson City DMV (appointment only 7 weeks out). When I went to the story county courthouse to the DMV window I had nobody in front of me. The people working in the office were very very nice. I got titles and registration done without an appointment and in a 15 minute time frame. Excellent service highly recommended. And for going to a DMV anywhere you will come out happy. Well done Story County Nevada.

The courthouse is gorgeous. They have a wonderful museum.You can even see the old jail cells. Lots of history.

Currently only open to storey County residents for the DMV... I wish they put this somewhere on the website before driving all the way from sun valley :/

It is open. They put that sign out because there were too many walk-ins. You have to call to make an appointment and you have to be a Storey County resident.
No Virginia City does NOT do renewals and or replacements.
But you MUST live in Storey County in order to be served there due to COVID19. If you live in Storey County, you're golden!

You can do the registrations in vc but not licence....go to fallon must faster than carson city
