I am from Meigs County and needed food. It says "Athens and Meigs Counties". My Integrated Service Worker drove me all the way up there and they tried to say people from Meigs County weren't eligible to receive food?! On another occasion when I was living in Athens I was going to try and find some warm clothes. I was shooed out the door as they claimed they were closing early. AND I have always been refused needed toiletries as "they were almost out!". Well, I WAS out. That is why I was asking for help. Hopefully the staff is better now. This was 2017-2018.

You can get diapers at salvation army, the wic office and the food cupboard in Nelsonville. Your doctor's office may even have samples of the formula your baby is on. The county home used to offer diapers as well. I hope this helps.
Hi! Food boxes are available Mon-Thurs 10am-2pm. Please bring your ID and proof of residence. We are closed all federal holidays.
There.are household items and clothing available free to anyone. Food pantry and utility assistance are available based on income and county of residence.
