Great steak! Cooked perfectly and well seasoned. I understand why this place gets so busy even on weekday nights. I appreciate how the Avenue isn't one of those steak houses where you have to pay $10+ for a side on top of a $45+ steak. Included with the steaks are 1 side and 1 salad. The interior is lively but I prefer the patio (heated in the winter).

This was an overall disappointing experience. The scallops were undercooked and rubbery. The potato wasn’t warm enough to melt the butter on top of it. The Caesar salad was wilted with too much cheese and dressing and the parm crisps tasted more like cheddar. My guest’s steak was ordered medium but served medium rare. They said the steak was good and they were fine with it being medium rare. The crab cake and the dinner rolls were the saving grace of the meal for me. We received two dinner rolls for the table of two after asking for bread (after salad was served). The server was not the least bit friendly but I still tipped decently because maybe he was having a worse day than I was and we all need a little grace these days. However, the next time I’m looking for an upscale dining experience, I’ll look elsewhere.
