We like this park. This year has been so much better with the gravel on the trails. Peaceful walk. I got 2.5 miles in and didn't do all the trails.

This park Is a hidden gem, I've taken my dog there multiple times and he loves taken the dog trail, I do too, it's been really hot and the area is mostly shaded while walking the trail, it's a great place to walk as well. However if your not really sure which way to get out lol for whatever reason that seemed like a challenge we got all the way in there and didn't know which way to go it's kind of like we got in there,? but couldn't figure out how to get out, needs to be more signs on which way to go, no signs nothing listed luckily ran into some people that told me how to get back out to parking lot. Other than that I love nature and if you love the wildlife and animals this is the place to go. I highly recommend checking it out,.

Hello Willard, and thanks for the question. We have had some beehives at Deer Haven, managed by an apiarist from Stratford Ecological Center. We know that one of those hives still remains, but don't know the health of the hive at this time. We are sure there must be some wild bee hives in the park, but have not gone searching for them and don't know where they are. Hope this helps!
I have heard barred owls and seen them in the area and I'm sure screech owls are probably hanging out too
