Is the cac closed? How can I sign up for the summer crisis program? I'm in richland county

Hi Sara, Yes, we are currently closed to the public because of the pandemic. You can schedule a phone interview for the SCP by calling the appointment line at 419-901-9539 or you can apply online at www.energyhelp.ohio.gov. You will have a phone interview either way, so make sure you enter a good contact phone number that we can reach you at so an intake worker has access to you! Please keep in mind that when calling the appointment line, appointments are open 28 days in advance and when they are full the appointment line will block access to appointments automatically until the next business day that appointments are available. You will have to keep trying if it won't allow you to schedule. In that instance, using the link I provided above may be a quicker option. Thanks for reaching out!

Hi Dianne, CACEHR provides assistance to low-income families in the Erie, Huron, and Richland County areas. Our main focus includes energy assistance programming like HEAP, PIPP, Winter and Summer Crisis, First Energy Fuel Funds, and Columbia Gas Fuel Funds. However, we also provide programs through CSBG like an essentials closet, emergency uniforms, employment training, rent assistance, other utility assistance, mortgage assistance, home repair, and other programming. We currently have other pandemic programming as well. Please note that all CSBG programming is contingent upon current funding and may not always be available. Please call your local delegate agency for more information on current programming. If you are in Erie County call 419-626-4320, in Huron County call 419-668-9823, and in Richland County call 419-589-2520. You can apply for all three counties programming by visiting our website at www.cacehr.org.
