So we've stayed at this place a lot over the years but hadn't been there for a while , so I had been reading the recent reviews to catch up. There were a lot of negative reviews...but listen, this is an older hotel that needs the rooms redone but they've at least redone the lobby. The temperature of the rooms is extremely difficult to control as well. The indoor pool is currently unavailable but they do have 3 outdoor hot tubs, although they probably need some work, too. And parking is overpriced 40 bucks a day (but you can choose to park elsewhere in town for cheaper). All that said, the hotel is in a great location off busy main street. Most rooms have balconies and are clean. Hilton reward members get 15 dollar food credits per person per day. The fitness center is updated. There is bike storage. The beds are comfy and there are room refrigerators. As long as you know what you are getting here, you won't be surprised. We had an enjoyable stay over the 4th. No complaints.

The hotel was run down. The hallways and carpets were very dirty. There was no coffee in the lobby-even after we asked staff for coffee. The beds and pillows were terribly uncomfortable. There is no air conditioning in the hotel and the room was extremely stuffy and hot. The bathroom was tiny. We had to close the bathroom door in order to use the toilet. Very little water pressure in the shower and the hot water was gone in the afternoon. Definitely not a good experience.

We stayed here 4 years ago and felt the hotel needed a renovation back then....so we knew what to expect (and not expect.) The location can't be beat so we decided to give it another try. Because of my low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the room. It was better than I expected. The breakfast buffet and the little snack bar was great. I feel for all of the employees here because they are definitely short staffed but doing their best. Now...the elevator situation is unacceptable. To take two elevators, two long walks and a flight of stairs to get to your room...in a ski area!!!...is not acceptable. The front desk was clearly taking verbal abuse from customers all day every day because of this. They should not be allowing guests to reserve these rooms unless they have an understanding of the situation. They should charge much less for those rooms. Fortunately, we were one of the lucky ones in the Aspen Tower. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay...but the elevator situation did not impact us.

Elevator was not working and some sections of the hotel need it to gain access. They really could use a shuttle to take to tourists to town. It's walking distance but in the cold, not ideal. There was a bus, but the front desk ladies didn't give us any info so I had no idea where to look for it. We also booked our ski rentals through the hotel but the front desk didn't even know where that was. (Hint, it's in the hallway behind the front desk, in case they read this.) The hotel is older but was clean and if the staff could be more helpful I would rate it higher. Tourists depend on the knowledge of hotel employees for help. Please train them better.

In the rooms with the balconies you have the best A/C. The man told me that those units are newer.
I have no idea with the old name was!but my wife and I stayed here last October before the 1st snow. The staff was super helpful and awesome. We are both looking forward to our next get away in Breck!
