I recently had a private conversation with deputy sheriff Trent Cooper. He was very personable, kind, and the best listener ever. He may be fairly new to the department but he has a mature way of making you feel at ease and that he genuinely cares for you.

We've interacted with several Deputies on different occasions and have to say every one of them acted in a very professional and friendly manner.

I am not from the area however my Father in law is. He is 84 and his name is Bob. Yesterday, he decided to travel from North Canton OH to Troy which was his hometown. My husband has a gps tracker in his dads car because lately he’s been gone for hours at a time. He’s been keeping around our area. Just going to lunch and talking to people. He’s pretty fun to talk to :) Yesterday he drove 3.5 hours away from home and we were very worried about him. After going through 4 different dispatchers (he was driving through multiple counties/townships) I was put on the phone with Deputy Chase Underwood. He and Lieutenant Todd Tenant located my F-I-L and took him to get food while my husband headed that way to get him. Lt. Tenant ate and talked with him. Basically kept him safe the whole time. I’m so impressed with the care and compassion they showed him! All the while keeping me informed of how he was doing. They went above and beyond for us. Thank you so much to all that helped keep my father in law safe!!

Questions & Answers

My mother is 80+ yrs. old. She is not using good judgement. She insists that it is okay for her alcoholic "friend" to drive her here and there. How can I stop this?

I would call the police. 911 emergency number, when you know this is happening. Especially if you know or suspect the "friend" may be intoxicated. You may save a life.

I'm trying to find out if my cousin has a warrant on him. How do I find out?

I've called the municipal court before and just asked. They used to give that info out, not sure about these days, but it couldn't hurt.
