Crawford county humane society is exactly what their name is...."humane" they make sure they have the animals best interest. They thoroughly make sure that the animal goes to RESPONSIBLE adopters.I love this place!

This is the SECOND TIME. I have the WORST experience with this animal shelter. I took a cat their that my grandmother found on her porch that was sick and limping. They berated me for bringing it to them and said "I might as well brought a raccoon." Word for word. Then I found two kittens that the mom left. She took the three others and I fed these two for two days and left them were they were, the mom never came back and was hissing at them the day she left with the others. I called and asked if I could bring them their with the kitten milk and everything. Got told they couldn't do anything. To put them back and I stole them from the mom. No I didn't I watched for two days and no mom and they survived because I would feed them. Was told they couldn't do anything to take them to another shelter because they couldn't help. Just rude. Every time I have had an encounter they have been rude and didn't listen to anything. They needbto be shut down or completely restaffed. Btw they deleted my last review. I'll keep checking abck to see if they delete this one too.

My question is: Board members- are you reading these reviews??? I have been trying to reduce the number of hungry and neglected cats in my neighborhood. I have always and will only take a cat for surrender to the Wyandot County Humane Society because there is no who takes care of surrendered and neglected animals like they do. But now due to staffing shortages they are only accepting animals from within their County. They have warned that this could happen for some time on their website and now it has..... So they are expecting the rest of Ohio's Humane Societies to step up and take care of their own animals in a responsible and humane way. Read their website for further information NOW. That includes you Crawford County Humane Society! Find out how to make a difference!

No we don't have any poodle mixes at this time. Check our available dogs out on Petfinder.
No we dont have any cocker spaniels now.
Usually a kitten has to weigh atleast 3 lbs before they will spray or neuter.
The training schedule is not done yet, please call shelter and we'll give trainers number to contact.
Yes
Yes ma'am and if it is after hours, they have a drop off door.
Unfortunately the last I knew this is a place where the animals are put down if they don't find a home for them.
Idk about setting traps but they pick them up and take them if you drop them off
Boxer mix and I'm not sure about the other one
Call the police
I'm sure they will tomorrow when they are open.
