Visited on a whim for breakfast before the Arcola car show and was blown away. The place was packed but seat yourself with a few open tables. We sat and were greeted right away. The service was timely, no wait for drink or food, even tho she was clearly juggling multiple tables everything and everyone worked together. Food was delicious. I really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy!! Very family friendly, cozy private booths. We will be back, thank you!

The Hen House is a local favorite place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. The staff is polite and hard working while being friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Whether you are a local or traveling through, you will feel at home in this quaint barn shaped restaurant. While the inside hasn't been remodeled for decades, it is kept up and cleaned to the best of the staff's ability. The restaurant is kid friendly and wheel chair accessible so it is a place for everyone. Daily specials and local favorites give you a large selection to choose from. Just make sure to get here before 3 because they don't serve dinner. Stop in for a cup of their freshly ground and brewed coffee, you won't be disappointed.

Light on the gifts, understandably; just off the e-way & perfect for a quick bite before getting back on the road. Definitely would stop here again! They work their butt off...tip 'em good!

Hens AND Roosters you need to gather around the table here...the food was awesome and the service is well worth five clucks out of five !
