Go to another emergency clinic. My 13 yr old cat was obviously suffering, we went in for blood work, they were cold and awful. Prognosis was she was experiencing end stage kidney failure, I brought her home 12/23 aka Christmas and told everyone to say goodbye, as OP Vet told me to prepare folks she was dying..... Three years later, she is fine and happy, she most likely had caffeine or chocolate exposure toxic poisoning - equally alarming but not fatal.. So four figures $$ later .. I am livid they told me she was dying, I am livid they ran/read tests wrong, I am livid they lacked empathy in her diagnosis and delivering the news. Take your fur baby to Village Vet of Hamburg, they care, they don't jump to conclusions, and they are so much more decent.

Always friendly, no matter the time. I've been twice after hours for ER and even when busy they are helpful and patient. I was in tears not knowing if my buddy was ok and even at 1 am they were wonderful. They also call with followups the next day, to see how your buddy is doing. If they were closer to me (50 minutes drive) they would be my permanent vet.

We are from Syracuse, and Orchard Park was the only vet that had room for our 10-year-old Labradoodle Barney, who was dealing with a life-threatening infection. Orchard Park offered 24-hour care which is exactly what Barney needed to survive; our vet at home would not have been able to treat him overnight. The office called us every day, usually several times a day, with updates on Barney's condition. The cost of hospitalizing our dog in the ICU for four days was obviously enormous, but that is unfortunately standard in emergency vet care everywhere. At each step, the veterinarian explained the costs that would be involved with each procedure, so we never felt taken by surprise. And thankfully, the staff took such good care of Barney that he made a full recovery and was able to come home!

I can't say enough good things about OPVM. First, I am grateful they are open 24 hours a day. Many 24 hour vets have closed. OPVM deserves kudos for staying open. Second, from the security gentleman at the front door, to the intake staff, to the vet techs and doctors...more kudos. Calm, reassuring, kind, helpful, professional and knowledgeable. Their dedication to our pets is evident and so appreciated. I am grateful.

Call them for more information but my guess would be yes. They're a great practice and have multiple services available. They do not offer payment plans but are very up-front about expected costs.
Yes we do but please call the office at 716.662.6660 to discuss further. Thank you!
Best to call the office to discuss. Thank you!
Thank you so very much! If you haven't already written a review here on google and/or Facebook please do so, so that you can help others find us for help with their pets.
We had our pet put down and she was great with us greif is hard for all of us sorry she couldn't give you the news you wanted to hear. I'd rather have a dr that is honest and up front testbed then beat around the bush or give false hope. I think it many of been a misunderstanding
Let us check with one of the surgeons and get back to you. Will update once we do. Thank you for reaching out. UPDATE: spoke with our surgery department and they said that "If the tumor is that large and obstructing ureters, it may be best to go to Animal Medical Center in NYC for interventional radiology stenting with Dr. Weise and/or Berent." Also, are you looking to make her comfortable for whatever time she has left given her age or are you looking to pursue something more aggressive such as surgical removal and/or chemotherapy if indicated? Hope this helps!
Hello, this is not the best forum to ask emergency related questions since we don't always check these questions on a daily basis. Male cats that become blocked are one of the most common problems we see in veterinary medicine and it is a medical emergency. Draining with a syringe is not an ideal practice except as a last resort since there are other more effective and safe procedures to "unblock''a cat. Hopefully you were able to find veterinary care since you asked this question. If you have any emergencies in the future it would be best to call us 24/7 at 716.662.6660
Hi Keith, not sure what time you posted this but so many factors and variables go into a situation like this so best to call our office 24/7 at 716.662.6660 to discuss whether or not your puppy's situation is an emergency. Thanks for reaching out.
There are several factors that go into this. While Julie's answer is correct for just the ultrasound itself, this does not account for the consultation with the internal medicine specialist, medications, etc etc therefore it is best to call the office to get a more accurate estimate. Thank you for reaching out.
Hello! Best to call the office for an estimate on this as there are several factors that can affect the estimate. 716.662.6660 Thank you for reaching out!
Since we are 24/7 it is in the best interest of our clients and staff to have security present on our campus. Periodically we do have incidents that do require security's involvement, and sometimes situations that get escalated to calling the police.
This vetrinarian medical center is the best.they can do everything your pet may need.
My thought would be to resource the Buffalo Zoo... Don't know if OP Veterinary Hospital treats large exotic birds like emus.
I would call ,this is all new to me.
Maybe get their email
