Comfort Inn On the Bay

We came to Port Orchard for our granddaughter's graduation, stayed here thinking this would be a great place. Front desk Staff was very pleasant and professional. Don't expect breakfast, well actually you do get breakfast in a brown paper bag. It will contain a cliff bar, fruit bar, maybe a packaged Belgium waffle and not much more. There is NO elevator. But there is a beautiful view of the bay. The room was adequate and comfortable.

After staying at two mom n pop motels along my route I had high expectations for this hotel as they are 1. A chain hotel and 2. Has a decent rating on Google however, this motel has an issue with ants as you may be able to see from the picture. I had to ask for another room after I saw the ant trail in the restroom. I followed the ant trail to pieces of cat or dog food as seen in the picture. The next room also had some ants in the tub but wasn't crazy. The TV was unplugged, the cable was unplugged and there was any bait thrown behind the refrigerator and credenza in room 118. Room 118 was cramped tight and not in great condition. Room 120 was a little cleaner and not as cramped. Parking wasn't really an issue. The laundry facility was meh, the outdoor bending machines was a little surprising. The overnight desk agent was more involved on his computer video game (silver laptop) but I was able to sleep in a decent bed and shower before I left. This place could use a face lift. But other than that it was ok. Just ok.

Positive: Large television with good sound. Ample storage. Very soft sheets. Nice view. Front desk staff friendly. Negative: Ants around vanity sink. Faucet leaked; uncleaned black mold behind it. Shower undersized. Round toilet because door wouldn't open otherwise - bath area very small. No non-slip shower mat or shampoo. Hotel dated and in need or refurbishment. Noisy.

Summer Bays

Ripley approved of her stay here this weekend! The bed was comfortable and the pillows didn't deflate after 5 minutes like many places we stay at. The room was clean and most importantly so was the shower. Staff was friendly and accommodating. There's caffeinated and decaf options as well as black tea in the room and the tea is pretty tasty! The view and easy access to the boardwalk path can't be beat! We will be staying here again next time we visit friends!
