I had to bring my cat here for an emergency urinary block. They got him in quickly, and were able to clear his block. The doctors were good and front desk was kind. I decided to go with outpatient care rather than inpatient due to a 2k price difference. Once I made this decision, I felt like I was left completely on my own and it was like a switch flipped. They gave me meds for his pain, but nothing for his inflammation, which was obviously a major issue. He could barely even walk. This led to some other serious issues and a very uncomfortable recovery for my boy. He was constipated for days (almost a week) and would not eat or drink, until we were able to see his primary. I understand they are busy, but when I called to inquire about a plan or some course of action to resolve these issues, they just told me bring him back. Not sure if I would bring my animals here again.

I travel to Central Hospital all the way from New York. Why? Because Dr. Leyenda Harley is the very best and works here. I trust her completely and she would only work in a place that is good. The staff has always been kind, warm and very attentive to us. For me and my boys it is worth the ride. Never doubt taking your babies to this place you can not go wrong.

They are professional. The level of discipline can sometimes be perceived as "ruthless or indifferent." However, given the number of patients they see and save each day, I can feel that they strive to provide the best solitude and exceptional healthcare service. I received multiple phone calls throughout the day for updates and inquiries. I also called multiple times, and they were very patient with me. They are NOT money-driven, but every place is driven by money. I love they are upfront about finance, which can feel abrupt and uncomfortable. I cope with that by getting my baby good insurance, just like what I did for myself. I chose to trust them, and I made the right choice.

Can't say if they are cheap for that procedure, but they really care your animals. Both the Central Hospital for Vet Care in North Haven as well as Cheshire Vet Care in Cheshire.
Dr. Dorbandt is phenomenal! Great vet and great person. Definitely highly recommend him and his team.

Thank you for the question. What type of problem would you be looking to be seen for? Consultation costs vary some depending on the type. For example it can be in the emergency room, with a specialist, etc.

We do provide transfusions using donor cats as well as blood products from blood banks. Transfusions are typically performed in our ICU which is staffed 24 hours a day to insure proper observation.
