It seems there is some construction on the trails being done. Many trees taken down, more flat space visible. Still needs some more benches. Will continue to visit to watch progress.

Hi Joseph. There is a free bike share program through our partner Take It Outdoors, a recreation company located at 57 Schuylkill Ave. in Pottstown. I believe you have to call and reserve a bike ride. The number is 610-656-3969.

ls there a website that reports river conditions? The only way l can find out what the river is doing is to actually drive there. In our 13 years of paddling the Schuylkill, this is the worst spring and summer yet.

Hello. Depending on what section of the river you need information about, there are sites available for river conditions. The website http://phillyrivercast.org/ is a forecast of water quality that predicts potential levels of pathogens in the Schuylkill River between Flat Rock Dam and Fairmount Dam i.e. between Manayunk and Boathouse Row. If you are looking for information about river levels such as after a big storm then the USGS National Water Information System (NWIS) contains surface-water, groundwater, water-quality, and water-use data collected at approximately 1.5 million sites across all 50 states. There is more information about this site as it pertains to the Schuylkill River in our paddler's guide. For more information about this guide, visit http://www.schuylkillriver.org/Detail.aspx?id=6113.
