My 17 year old daughter had a tonsillectomy Tuesday at Valley Baptist Brownsville, and I am so happy with the amazing customer service. My daughter suffers from anxiety, and everyone made her feel so at ease. I want to thank Orlando, Robert, Jeanette, Vanessa, JJ, Carlos, and Javier. You all were so kind and informative. I love that they introduced themselves every single time, and we could tell that they were smiling even though everyone was wearing a mask. Vanessa was the first and last face we saw and she was very sweet and funny. Carlos was with my daughter during recovery and helped her calm down as she had an anxiety attack as she was coming out of the anesthesia. Dr. Theivagt is amazing as always. My children and I are forever thankful with how attentive and professional he is. Now the one that really touched our hearts and made my daughter feel safe and at ease, was Dr. Simpson. As he was questioning us on my daughter's medical history, he made it feel so organic. It felt like we were having a conversation with a friend. Loved that he was cracking jokes and making us feel calm. My daughter told me that all the way to the OR and before she knocked out, he was right there by her side making her laugh. Thank you everyone for such a wonderful and easy experience.

This has been one of the worst experiences. Most of the staff is uncaring, show little or no empathy much less compassion. The waiting is too long. Currently blood was drawn in the waiting area, short of wheel chairs for those that need it, ins. Information is taken whilewhile in waiting area, you get told you're being discharged after hours of waiting you get more labs drawn instead of discharge papers. Look for another hospitable, where staff is more caring less robotic.

Wish I could have negative stars on here. This disgusting place took my grandma away from me far too early. I may be going through the stage of anger in grief but it is very justified. It took the ICU FOUR WHOLE DAYS to figure out my grandma's kidneys were failing when it's literally something they should be looking out for in the ICU and put her on the vent when she was getting better. To the nurses and doctors there who contributed to the treatment of my grandma, I hope you have a terrible year because you absolutely destroyed mine. They literally killed her as well as hurt and traumatized our whole family. She passed literally passed four days before my birthday, I could not hate this place anymore than I already do.

I've been coming here about every four weeks during my pregnancy for ultrasounds on the 6th floor with the Driscoll doctors and they are great! They always address any concerns or questions i might have. The entire staff, from reception to the nurses to the ultrasound techs to the doctors are all fantastic. The wait times vary obviously but are by no means ridiculous.

Best advice is, go to the Front receptionist and ask for a Manager. Or a Director.
They, the hospital, cannot refuse to put on a cast. They cannot refuse to perform any treatment, unless the patient declines care, if it is necessary. They can however, offer you different payment options if they don't take a specific insurance.
