was quoted $469 to replace a 2g expansion tank on a 50g water heater. Sounded expensive, quick google led me to home depot for $42 part and replaced myself in 1 hour including the drive to home depot. for them it would be 35$ part + 20 mins labor + 30 min travel. $469. They didn't even check it, I told them it was bad based on what another plumber had said. They did arrive quickly so I gave two stars. Will look for another plumber based on this pricing.
