Although you are not required to attend the home inspection, it is strongly recommended that you do. This is your opportunity to see the home through the eyes of a trained professional. The post-inspection briefing we provide you and your agent is a great opportunity to learn more about the property you are interested in and to ask any questions you may have. Plus, the inspector will be able to point out any potential problems that you may not have noticed. If you are unable to attend, your inspector is available to discuss their findings with you over the phone prior to or after receiving your report.

Our goal is to provide all the home inspection services you need without having to use multiple inspectors or companies. The duration of a home inspection can vary depending on several factors. The age, size and overall condition of the house are the most significant factors in deciding how much time the home inspection takes. For most of the home inspections we perform, we schedule to allow 3 hours to perform a complete and thorough inspection. Sometimes it takes slightly less, and sometimes it takes even more. The important thing to remember (at Bannon Home Inspections) is that we want you to be satisfied and understand the condition of the house we are inspecting. If you attend the inspection and would like a post-inspection consultation, prior to receiving your report, we’re glad to do that as well regardless of the time it takes!

This is an important question! Choosing the right home inspector can be challenging. The first tip we recommend is - don’t wait! Start researching home inspection companies well in advance of needing them. Talk to your friends, family and even neighbors. If you’re working with a real estate professional get their input as well! Check out online reviews and see who provides the home inspection services that fits your needs. Lastly, give 2-3 home inspectors a call and ask them a few questions about their inspection reports and how they go about the home inspection process. Spending a few minutes on the phone with several home inspectors, getting feedback from those around you, and doing your online research will make you feel confident about choosing the right home inspector.
