The staff is absolutely disrespectful and RUDE!! After driving 6 hours, we decided to go to our hotel early and use the restroom. We walked in and we were greeted with “the elevator is that way”! We told her we are looking for the restroom and she said “we don’t have public restrooms”. She assumed we just came off the street and wanted to use the restroom but that wasn’t the case! We had reservations at 3pm but needed to use the restroom before actually checking in. It was about 11:30am. We asked a housekeeper if we can use the restroom since we can’t get into our room until 3. She said yes. While we are in the restroom, the receptionist (she claim her name is Little) came inside of the mens bathroom rudely saying “you can’t use the restroom because of plumbing issues”. Which was a LIE! She thought we were coming in just to use the restroom but in reality, we were customers. I canceled my room with them because it is clear to me that they are very unprofessional. I informed her that we will be canceling our rooms and reporting her to the manager. I would really love for someone to reach back out to me so I can further explain and get an apology! Because of this experience, I will never book with Wingate again!

The absolute worst front desk associate I have EVER met. My husband and I arrived after traveling over 15 hours only to be greeted with an incredibly rude and nasty attitude. I do realize people have bad days and difficult shifts at times but this was just beyond that. We were greeted with, " Card" then, "I.D." and when my husband asked for her to please repeat herself because he couldn't hear her, she literally yelled, "I.D.!" Then proceeded to give him a dirty look. It was perplexing to us because we have never met anyone so blatantly rude and disrespectful. I was quickly reminded of why we seldomly stay at Wyndham. We immediately left and went to Hilton...two hours out of the way. If you enjoy snarky, hateful fda's in a subpar hotel, this is your spot.

I usually never leave reviews, but after the way I was treated I want to protect anybody that is thinking of staying here. First of all I’m a travel nurse that stays at a lot of different hotels. This one is the worst one yet. The front desk staff does not care anything about their customers. They are bothered when you ask them anything. They are very unfriendly.. I stayed at this hotel because it was on the cheaper side price wise but now I know why. I worked and slept while staying here so this is just explaining the little time I saw these people. The breakfast was meh but you have the most unhappy staff walking around talking loud and making jokes with each other. Not once spoke to me. The room was ok and clean, but It was never cleaned during my 5 day stay. My last day I asked could I have a late checkout due to me having to drive hours home after working all night, and was told “yeah I guess.” So I am then awakened to the front desk clerk, 2 housekeepers, and a maintenance man banging on my door threatening to throw my things out and call the police. I apologized and had to take the abuse because i was terrified. I didn’t want to be a Karen, but I chose to call the general manager who was so defensive and was told that this is normal protocol. Lakeel was her name, and she stated that I better be glad I got out of there because they will quickly call the police if you stay past checkout time because her house keepers had other jobs to be at and they didn’t have time to wait on me to gather my belongings. The male at my door was very loud and condescending. When asked their names they refused to tell me. They all had taken their name badges off as well. I literally am appalled at how bad this experience was. I left there crying my eyes out and the manager was so rude and defensive and very unapologetic. Please do not stay here!!! You will regret it. Trust me I know hotels and this is the worst one I’ve ever stayed in. The only reason I gave it one star is because I had to to leave a review.

Positive: The staff was nice. The breakfast was decent. The room was clean. It was fairly close to casinos. Negative: The website said the pool would be open thru November, but sad to say it was already closed for the season. The hotel was clean but needed to be updated as the walls and carpet were very worn.
