Overbooked but they have done good work for me. Went through a surgery as well and no issues

We love Dumont Animal Hospital! We have been taking our dog here for a little over a year & Dr. Diggle is amazing. He takes the time to answer all our questions & I really don’t feel rushed while he’s speaking to me. Dr. Diggle is thorough & also understands that not everyone has the funds to spend thousands at the vet so he typically recommends doing X first & seeing the outcome vs. doing XYZ first. Our dog has also been seen by Dr. Catherine (cannot recall her last name at the moment) and she was good as well. Dumont Animal Hospital is also very good at fitting our dog on their calendar promptly when an injury occurs. To any poor review about DAH, please remember that these incredible vets care about the well being of your animals and they have a very difficult job. Their patients don’t speak, so please give some grace. Dr. Diggle really is such an incredible vet!

I wouldn’t trust my fur baby with anyone else. Dr. Bortz and the staff are amazing. Thank you for loving on and caring for our pets :)

***UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED*** I've been going to Dumont Animal Hospital for 8 years now. 1st bad experience was with one of the female dr's, who missed diagnosed my cat of 14 years. He of course did not make it due to the incompetence of this dr. I brought in my cat for a stomach issue about 3 years ago. $800 LATER still no diagnosis, she said he was fine. I brought him back to see a different dr in the same practice and she told me my cat had stomach cancer and would not survive the next few days. He died in their facility.. I continued to bring my pets there because I absolutely love Dr.Bortz. Last week I brought in my border collie, he was acting strange, lethargic and he had no balance. They girl who answered the phone was so rude she wouldnt even listen to me. When I went to the office with my dog and they saw him stumbling they still would not see him. They turned me away and said they had no emergency appointments.. I ended up taking my pup to Oradell ER and $200 later I was told he just needed to rest and was dehydrated.. The fact that I have spent so much $$ at Dumont Animal Hospital and was not able to see the dr was beyond upsetting. They really need to get staff members who have a heart and want to help our Furry family members... And not make it about $$$$$$$$... If you are going to choose this office for your family pet my suggestion is to only see Dr. Bortz as she is the only who has a head on her shoulders!!! Completely disappointed in the staff of this clinic... Hopefully it will get better...

They are a very busy practice! It does get frustrating, but just keep re- dialing.. you'll get through
They have an old fashioned fax machine that uses their phone line. Don't let that deter you though. These are the best vets around!!
Call the vet and make an appointment. If your pet is exhibiting other serious symptoms as well, take it to Oradell Animal Hospital. Pet health is not to be tended to via the internet....time is of the essence! Good luck!
Leave a message. They always call back promptly.
