My review is so long bc I have so many great things to say about the caring staff at Care One Harmony Village, Jackson. My Dad suffered 2 years of poor care (recurring UTIs and infections, dirty living conditions, not properly cleaned, terrible food, isolation)in another “popular” assisted living. We were blessed to learn about Harmony Village. He hasn’t had a UTI or an infection, in the year + he’s been living here. He is happy and very well cared for. The staff is caring, attentive, professional. The nursing team is amazing! The DON, Sherri, keeps us all informed. The nurses, Marisol, Lucy and Tara, are always available to update us on our Dad and answer any questions we have. My Dad trusts them (and he had lost trust after his prior bad experience) and, even with his progressing dementia, he tells us “it’s a nice place” (he can barely communicate at all). They treat him so well and take great care of his every need. A lot of places say they provide memory care, when in reality they don’t. The entire staff at Care One really do provide resident centered and individualized care. They really do know how to care for people with dementia. When he first got there, the professionals patiently worked with him, to understand his unique medical and emotional needs. Unlike where my Dad was before, I have never seen a cell phone out; the care partners are fully engaged with the residents, and always working really hard. Tasha and many others are so kind to my Dad. They treat him as an individual and develop personal relationships with him. He is clean, nicely dressed, his wash is done and his room is always clean. The housekeepers are always visibly cleaning. Whenever there has been a maintenance issue, the maintenance team have addressed it immediately. My Dad has enjoyed the food. He especially likes breakfast. Anthony, from activities is the kindest and most empathetic and caring assisted living staff member I have ever met. He makes it a point, to get to know each resident, and do special things for them. He makes every holiday special (and everyday as well) and recently made my Dad’s birthday extra special. He puts so much thought and planning into his events. He goes way beyond what he is paid to do. Knowing he’s there, puts our minds at ease. Neomi is the fairly new Activities Director. She is creative in her programming and always includes families. She continuously makes an effort to get to know the residents and the families, and her care for the residents is clear. The activities assistant, Susan, works with Neomi and Anthony, to keep residents engaged in meaningful activities. From the start, Lorrraine and Kathy made sure my Dad’s move in went smoothly and he had everything he needed. The ladies at the front desk are always on top of what’s going on. Recently, we have been working w Ascend Hospice, and they are also lovely. The supervisor, Jen, calls us weekly. My Dad’s hospice care partner, Gloria, jumped right in and knew exactly what my Dad needed. His weekend care partner, Jen, is also so kind. It’s nice to go visit and see him smiling and comfortable. Each and every staff member deserves recognition for the excellent work they do! They are truly a special group of people.

Most of the reviews here are outdated as the facility has redirected to a memory care/assisted living structure. My 94 year old dad entered a month ago with vascular dementia and a host of old man issues. One month in- he’s eating better; is getting far less sedation than he was at home, he knows me (his daughter), his wife, his dogs- his mental/emotional state has improved dramatically. The staff is amazing. He receives the highest level of care - every person from the front desk to the kitchen knows his name and ours; they know his favorite foods and that he asks for me everyday. He sits at the nursing station when his favorite nurse is on duty. It’s clean- the food is amazing! For our loved ones in memory care one of the last forms of enjoyment is food- and Gina works wonders without using salt! Everyone has gone above and beyond in supporting us in making one of life’s hardest decisions.

I don't know where these pictures were taken but, it's definitely the place I remember.... They are not caring at all and they marked the charts with what ever they want.... The director was a young girl very rude and nasty not caring at all.... It may have changed but, a leopard does not change it's spots....I wanted to give it not stars
