Where can I start, this firm is absolutely unprofessional with how they handle things. I’m not sure if they are simply unorganised or lacking competence but they took on my case for my property, and about 5 days before the deadline told me they were going to proceed with the tax appeal. Today I got a letter in the mail that they will not be continuing due to their appraisers estimate. Which is fair, however, this should have been done when I first hired them over a month ago, not 5 days prior to the appeal deadline. To top it off they sent their decision out on May 20th, 2021 by mail rather than calling me, leaving me stranded to wait to appeal on my own next year. The courteous thing would have been to at least call me and give me a chance to fight my own battle based on the information I collected. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRM, they do not have your best interest at heart and will bail at the last moment. Their secretary is also extremely rude / all over the place when speaking. I think she has something to do with all the confusion and incompetence, which is sad since for all I know their attorneys might be decent but I will never find out based on her negligence.if you hire this firm, you are essentially setting yourself up for failure. Go elsewhere and pay for your appraisal, it’s not worth the few hundred bucks they’ll save you, “supposedly” since I have no idea an appraisal was even done. Whatever their response is, it does not justify not placing a phone call to notify their client on updates to the case, unprofessional.

your assessment will stay the same for years to come. what can change your assessment? if you do major work on your house that will increase your assessment. Also, if the town reassesses all properties in that town, then they can also change your assessment.
