The food at South and Pine is absolutely amazing. However, and sadly two stars, due to the staff not being organized, not trained well at all, they rushed us through dinner and then the head waitress actually said there r people waiting for tables and they were very busy and basically finish please. We were there for less than an hour for dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant is fairly expensive and I have personally NEVER had wait staff say this to me ever. It’s a shame because like I said before the food is fantastic. Unfortunately, I will never go back. It’s been so long since we have been able to go into restaurants and the staff is just as important as the food. (Norma who also reviewed, couple comments down seemed to be spot on? We were also an interracial couple and I really hope like her this was not the issue. However, the rudeness and the way we were spoken too was inexcusable)

Great dishes; loved the main entrees ~ we shared a few, family-style. Appetizers were great. No alcohol license, I believe its BYOB/wine. Nice cozy space too.

Overpriced and the selection was terrible. I wanted a salad but all the salads had either fruit or cheese in it and I wanted neither. There was no just regular salad with chicken. So, I ended up ordering a $32 hamburger. Nothing special and actually I had to send it back the first time cuz it was overcooked. Maybe it's me but I think that when I go out with another person and have to spend almost $100 for us to have burgers something is not right. They really have to beef up, no pun intended, the menu. And, it would be nice to get a meal without having to take a second mortgage out on your house.
