I give this place a big fat 0!!! No stars! The process is ridiculous the signs to park are misleading and there was so many ppl there with the same issues....CHANGES NEED TO BE MADE!!! The fact that the police were proud to say it's worse than New York like great job guys! 👏🏼

We came from Delaware to enjoy the day in the city, but the predatory practices of the Philadelphia Parking Authority had other plans for our day. The signs are very confusing and to us, we had parked right in front of the ParkMobile sign. We got back to our car to see it had been towed. When we called, they told me that my car had not yet arrived to the impound lot, but if I come down it will be there and I will be able to get it out. When we arrived at 5:00pm, there wasn't a lot of people there. We received my ticket information and was told if we pay my towing fee at the next window, we would be able to take my car and get on with our day. We had tickets to an event in the city with an arrival between 7:30PM and 8PM. We should have had plenty of time! When we got to the payment counter, we were told by other patrons in front of us that the payment system was down and we would have to wait. We waited patiently for 2 hours with no results. My child was hungry for dinner and I had to feed him out of the vending machine while we waited. When it was getting close to time for use to leave for our event, I had asked the supervisor on the payment side if we ubered to our event and came back what would happen if the payment system was not back up, being that we are from out of town and would be stranded in the city. She told me that she just does the payment side and to ask the Parking Authority side. When I had spoken with the supervisor of the Parking Authority side she was very rude and told me that it was the payment sides problem and not hers. We ended up taking an uber to our event and back afterwards to pay and pick up my car. These tickets were over $200 and we were not going to miss our event. Because of the Philadelphia Parking Authority's IT issues and lack of communication between their payment department and the Parking Authority Department, not only was I stuck with a towing fee, a ticket, an uber ride to pick up my car. I also accrued over $50 in additional uber fees because they could not fix their payment system. This is an unacceptable way to treat tourist to your city.

Why on Earth would you let someone have a car that's still in your name? LoL. They would still be notifying you if it were still in you're name.
Ok...google PPA auctions. Click on Auctions | The Philadelphia Parking. When that pops up. Let the screen load, its takes a few. Close to the bottom it will show the YEAR MONTH & DATE. Choose the Month & Day you want to go on. If you get to an auction and the car is NOT there...most likely the owner or bank came for it. Good luck, hope this helped!
Yes they havean auction
Tuesday and Thursday view from 11-12, buying starts at 12. Saturday viewing at 10
We don't tow abandoned vehicles. You would have to report it as a nuisance vehicle now since the police have it on their radar. Then they'll have it towed by a private company
This a impound lot. A lawyer isn't needed. If your trying to fight a ticket. I suggest going either springarden or filbert street early in the morning
Call a tow truck or police
They auction on tuesdays
Need time and phone number and were to buy car's from PPA
Yes, and the towing has doubled. It was 80, now the tow truck drivers are charging 160. That's very high, I guess they trying to make up for the month it was close. That's not right, they are modern day crooks and should be ashamed of themselves 👎👎👎👎👎👎
